Violin Studio:Hitchin
Welcome to the professional teaching practice of Nick Evans-Pughe, based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
If you are looking for creative, motivating and expert tuition then you should read on! Nick has over 20 years' experience as an instrumental teacher and concert violinist and violist. His track record is testament to his ability to nurture and encourage students to achieve high musical and technical standards, whatever stage they may be at in their playing, beginner, intermediate or advanced.
If you are seeking or considering violin or viola lessons, either for yourself or for a minor, please have a look at the Contact and Fees Information page and get in touch. The first step is usually to arrange a consultation lesson; this gives everyone concerned the opportunity to make an informed decision about the best way forward.
A parent/carer is always welcome to observe a child's lessons and those of younger children are encouraged to do so. Older children usually don't want a parent in the studio in which case they are welcome to sit outside in the waiting area.
For peace of mind Nick has full Public Liability Insurance cover and a recent CRB 'enhanced disclosure' statement (available for inspection).
Nick holds professional accreditation for performance and teaching from the Royal Academy of Music, London. He is a member of the prestigious Incorporated Society of Musicians and a staff member of
Stringmoves. He provides specialist tuition for three local education authorities.
